Fine... the iPod

Popular as the iPod may be, its never been mentioned here... until now, that is.(and that one time on June 6 and that other time on Aug. 16 of 2005)

While still an overpriced toy, the iPod may yet have a few tricks up its sleeve.  There are rumors that iTrip-like functionality may get built-in to the iPod, allowing it to wirelessly transmit audio to your car stereo without additional components.

News.com also reports that Apple will be selling “Saturday Night Live” skits through its iTunes Music Store for $1.99 per skit.  Still a bit pricey for something available as reruns on television almost daily, but still catchy.

I asked a few folks what they thought about the iPod just for fun….

Breanna: “the ipod pad you use to navigate is difficult to use sometimes“

Brian J.: “Heather has a Shuffle.“

Breanna: “everyone at the gym wears them on a band around their arm“

Brian J.: “You can connect it to your car stereo's accessory port with a 1/8" stereo cable.“

TimBob: “I ain’t playing“

That's enough about the iPod.  Personally, I don’t like it, don’t need it, and feel I already have a superior alternative to mobile audio and video.  But, to each their own.  Today’s topic was chosen by TimBob... so blame him.
