Usually, I can agree with Michelle's position, but today's post about Tom Cruise and Katie Holms was a bit much.  Normally, one can expect more pertinent discussion at her site.  It is a wonder why she has chosen to apparently attack Tom Cruise.

Michelle links to a number of sources that highlight Tom’s unusual recent behavior regarding his new flame, Katie Holms.  Unusual?  Okay.  Most of the claims suggest that Tom Cruise is pulling a P.R. stunt.  Malkin goes as far as to link to a site called “Free Katie.”  As if she was in danger.

I hope this is a joke.  Otherwise, one must wonder what is fueling Michelle's rant.  Did it occur to her that Katie Holms has her own movie being released?  That she may be capable of the exact same publicity stunts Cruise is being accused of?  Katie Holms is in her mid-twenties, and is perfectly capable of making her own decisions in life, even if we don’t agree with them.  Nobody has shown that Katie is hurt or is in danger.  In fact, Katie and Tom seem to overflow with joy at every appearance. 

The scam, if it exists, originates with both Tom and Katie.  If it doesn’t exist, then we are seeing yet another Hollywood relationship.  *yaaawn*  Why would Malkin position herself to attack Cruise?  Is Michelle jealous of Katie Holms?  Does she distrust Tom because of the age difference?  Is she scamming us all with a tongue-in-cheek Hollywood joke post?

Who Cares?

Hopefully, Michelle will not make Hollywood relationship commentary a regular feature at her blog site.
