A pro-suicide bombing Muslim named Anjem Choudary, on Wednesday blamed Tony Blair along with all British citizens for the terrorist bombings on July 7. In the chic-techno world, this is known as “FUD.” There are far too many people trying to place blame for terrorism on anything other than the terrorists themselves, and the time has come to debunk these ignorant fools and their root-cause FUD.
Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt, or FUD, is a strategy employed in numerous situations when hiding or undermining the truth can be beneficial to a given cause. The strategy is simple: start rumors and spread untrue or overly suggestive or frightening information designed to turn the public against a given entity or effort. Often times, FUD consists of outright lies. Computer security issues are a good example of FUD. There is no operating system available that does not have security problems. Yet Linux and Microsoft advocates alike point condemning fingers towards their least favorite operating system and shout warnings of insecurity. Their goal is to alter public opinion in favor of their preferred system. Although often successful, it is a most childish and despicable strategy.
Wednesday, Anjem Choudary, leader of the Muslim extremist group, Muhajiroun, blamed Tony Blair and British citizens for the terrorist bombings that took place on July 7, 2005. Anjem Choudary is spreading FUD, and his strategy is to empower murderous terrorists. The strategy of placing blame anywhere but on the terrorists themselves is destructive and promotes continued killings. The time has come to debunk the root-cause FUD that has become popular with terrorists and far left-wing liberals world-wide.
Myth #1: Terrorist attacks are the result of the Iraqi War.
Myth #2: 9/11 attacks were the result of American military base installations on foreign soil
Anybody regurgitating myth #1 deserves a quick laugh in the face. Don’t hesitate to do it. 9/11 happened before the Iraqi War, and so did thousands upon thousands of other terrorist attacks. In fact, that very argument also debunks myth #2. Wasn’t that easy?
Any time you hear somebody suggest one of the above, rest assured that they are knowingly or ignorantly spreading FUD. These outright lies are designed to influence public opinion in a way that benefits radical Islamic terrorism and damages peaceful modern civilization.
An intelligent terrorism-supporter will quickly rephrase their argument to suggest that terrorism has increased as a result of these causes. It’s a good argument, no doubt, but to what end? Violence increases initially in every declared war and no amount of retreat and apology on the part of the U.S. or any other country will eliminate terrorist attacks. The terrorism that we are battling is a result of extreme militant forms of Islam. For example, Al Takfir Wal Hijra, a theologically extreme extension of the Wahabbi doctrines of Saudi Arabia is dedicated to restoring the Caliphate, the Islamic political empire that once spanned the Near and Middle East.
Its major tenet holds that all the world's non-Muslim leaders should be overthrown by any means including (and especially) violence. Not only are infidels subject to sanctions up to and including death, but even other Muslims who don't fit the Takfir ideal.
Their mission in life is not to drive Americans off holy land. Their mission in life is to kill and destroy any person or way of life that stands in the way of restoring the Caliphate. These people want to kill you, your parents, your children, and your friends because you are different than they are, Period. They've made this perfectly clear with terrorist attacks in over 26 different countries since 1993.
Blaming a terrorist attack on the victim is like placing the blame for a violent rape upon the victim. Terrorist attacks are simply not an acceptable means of accomplishing any given goal, and any person who disagrees should be watched with a close, untrusting eye.
Much like the war on drugs can never be won, yet continually reduces the amount of dangerous and indeed lethally addictive narcotics from destroying innocent lives; the global war on terrorism is bound to create initial retaliation, and is likely to be a perpetual effort. With continually increasing support from countries interested in worldwide peace, pressure against radical Islamic sects will make their growth, organization, and survival increasingly difficult, thereby reducing the worldwide damage inflicted by terrorism.
The scope of this battle is The World, Forever. Terrorists want it all, and those battling terrorism want to preserve our current way of life. When you hear the FUD, call it.
