As reported by Michelle Malkin this afternoon, CNN is committing $1 Million to scholarships to fund journalism.  Sounds nice indeed, but there is a twist.  The million dollars is being divided between the National Association of Black Journalists, the National Association of Hispanic Journalists, and the Asian American Journalists Association.

Now, these are fine organizations, but they obviously represent very liberal positions.  Since CNN is already labeled as a liberal news organization, one must wonder how they think they can battle this stereotype by funding these decidedly left-leaning organizations. 

Not that Fox News is unbiased, but CNN could certainly take a lesson from the “fair and balanced” approach that Fox claims to take.  A good mix of perspectives is necessary so that citizens can collect enough information to make informed decisions.

It looks like CNN has less and less interest in letting citizens make their own decisions.  They are speaking with their pocket book, and the only thing you are going to hear is a liberal perspective.
